Mixan Mahony, LLC is a Chicago personal injury law firm founded by plaintiffs’ trial lawyers Colleen Mixan Mikaitis and Mackenzie J. Mahony.
We started Mixan Mahony, LLC because we believed serious cases could be handled differently. We wanted clients to know their lawyers, and lawyers to truly know their clients. We wanted the freedom to prepare cases thoroughly, give candid advice, and make important decisions based on what is right for the individual client and case.
That is still how we practice today.

Mackenzie J. Mahony is a Chicago plaintiffs’ trial lawyer representing individuals and families in complex personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and other serious injury cases throughout Illinois.
How We Practice
We built Mixan Mahony, LLC around the parts of practicing law that matter most to us: knowing our clients, mastering the details of their cases, preparing thoroughly, giving candid advice, and having the conviction to make difficult decisions when the stakes are high.
Our clients are not handed off after they hire us. We stay involved in the investigation, strategy, preparation, negotiations, and significant decisions throughout the case.
That direct relationship matters because good representation requires more than knowing the evidence. It requires knowing the client, understanding what they want the case to accomplish, and earning the trust necessary to make difficult decisions together.
